First and foremost, look at this nice picture of Joaquin Phoenix:

woo!

Anyhow. I went to see The Others again last night, in Leeds this time, and it was great. The crowd were really entusiastic, and Dominic stage dived about 6 times!
I came in my Pixies t-shirt, and after getting major hassle from a security bloke who wouldn't let me go up and join my friends in the dressing room, Dominic came down to meet me. I went upstairs with him and we sat around talking about music and eating all the biscuits on the rider. He realised I was wearing a Pixies tshirt and started singing the bit in Monkey Goes To Heaven that goes "if the devil is six AND GOD IS SEVEN! AND GOD IS SEVEN!".

Met up with everyone I met at the Wakefield gig last week, so it was fun having a big gang of us together. I took lots of great photographs of the band and of all the people backstage too, I'll share here or put them on my deviantart soon enough.

I might go to the York gig next week, although i don't think I'll be able to make it for the whole gig, just the soundcheck, which is a shame. It'll be nice to see everyone again though, as well as watching the band, which is always great. I think what I like about them live is they always manage to interact with the audience, and that's why you see familiar faces at every show: people are devoted because this band care about their fans, care about their music, care about what they have to say.

I'm going to see The Paddingtons on Saturday at The Vine in Leeds, then it's Franz Ferdinand next week. For the 9th time! I'm going to have to stop this.

It's half term soon, and I'm going to Glasgow to look at the Art School. I really really hope I like it, as I've been getting excited about it.

Claire's Top Five Records Of The Moment:

1.) Nick Cave - Abbatoir Blues (I don't believe I've raved enough about this record yet. It's just wonderful.)

2.) The Cure - Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me

3.) Interpol - Turn On The Bright Lights (Still better than the second one, alot darker too)

4.) Tom Waits - Alice

5.) Elvis Costello - When I Was Cruel

Honorable mention goes to Paul Weller, whose version of "Wishing on a Star" I really like, despite probably claiming he was past it at some time or other.
