Had lots and lots of fun last night at Faversham with Caroline. The Blueskins played; they're alright but a bit dull after a while, but by that time we were quite pissed so we danced like loons anyway. We'd been to a cheap scally-filled pub beforehand and stocked up on 99p Malibu and Cokes.

It was nice to see Matt too as I hadn't spoken to him properly in ages. We chatted in the DJ box for a bit while the support band were on ("They play local music for local people... i.e. mums and dads and friends of the band..") and it was fun. At the club night afterwards he played Bob Dylan, Aretha Franklin and The Libertines so that was good, and provoked more Dancing Like Loons.

Today I'm off to Julian's so he can restring my guitar. It's quite pathetic that I have been playing guitar for 4 years and I still can't restring the bloody thing. Perhaps today i shall learn!

I watched that UK Music Hall of Fame thing the other morn, about the top ten acts of the sixties. I only saw the first 5 though.

Claire's Top Five Songs Of The Top Five Artists Of The Sixties (Apparently)

1.) James Brown - Sex Machine
2.) The Beach Boys - God Only Knows
3.) The Velvet Underground - Venus In Furs / Heroin
4.) Aretha Franklin - Respect
5.) The Kinks - Lazy Sunday Afternoon

At the moment I am mostly listening to Graham Coxon's Happiness in Magazines, I reccommend you go out and buy it right now, even though it is a Sunday and the shops are shut.
